gs adventure panniers/sargent seat
Hello all. I presently have plastic panniers on my gs. They do the job but really arent up to serious touring. The adventure aluminium panniers interest me or possibly tthe zega cases. Anyone got any advice on offer.
Im also interested in the sargent seat. Would ideally prefer a Rick Mayer but waiting list is off putting. Heading int Eastern Europe in the next two weeks. Like the look of the sargent seat but will it save my ass?
Thanks. David

I'll give a big thumbs up to the zega cases, although mine haven't done loads of long distance they get regular use since I scrapped my car and they remain easy to use. With 2 weeks to go have you got time to get hold of some + a frame and mount it all up? Toutatech took a week to get mine to me and they are the standard 35l and 42l ones - Are you looking for the GS pre-shaped ones or not? Might be quicker if not? Don't underestimate the time it takes to fasten it all together onto your bike aswell...

I know nothing about the Adventure panniers, but I wholeheartedly endorse the Zega boxes. I have a set on my R1100GS that I have logged lots of miles on and am completely satisfied. I have 41 liter boxes on both sides of the bike, but had to change the exhaust to the low pipe to fit them. Since I haven't used the GS for really rough roads, the low pipe hasn't been an issue.
Good Luck
