There's another, cheaper, option: the Sigma push bike computers have high enough max speed for motorbikes.
A few types: 600, 700, 800 (and more).
We find the 700 best with all the necesarry features:
- clock (CLK)
- speed (KMH/MPH)
- trip distance - which we use as day trip metre (TRP)
- odometre = total kilometres (DST)
- riding time - auto start/stop (STP)
- maximum speed (MAX)
- average speed (AVS)
Just bought another one for a friend at 22,5 euro.
Bit of creativity for attachment to the much-too-large spokes of a motorbike (if you buy it at a Gericke shop, they come with a device (small stick-on magnet) for wheels without spokes too), but we have them for each of our bikes now, and they last and last and last.
The wire also needs to be lengthened.
Battery life is very long (1-2 years). You can --and have to-- take them off when leaving the bike, but that makes it even nicer: excellent for writing down the day's statistics in your hotel room or tent.
Wonderful tiny and cheap gadget !
