What very small hiking/motorcycle boots are out there

My girlfriend has very small feet, US size 3, about UK size 2 and has a problem finding quality hiking/motorcycle boots, does anybody know of a manufacturer who makes them this small. I have tried Altberg and they don't do smaller than a UK 3.5 so no luck there. Any suggestions?

Shame about Altberg - brilliant boots!

It depends on how much hiking you're planning on doing but how about looking at childrens trials boots?
Unlike MX/enduro boots they are designed/made to be more supple and are OK for walking in - but I wouldn't recommend them for full on hiking. Some are also narrow enough in the leg that you can get loose/bootcut trousers over them so you don't look too much like a storm trooper!

How about looking at decent hiking boots? Many of them give pretty good ankle protection (and should be good for walking!). I believe Scarpa are pretty good for smaller/narrower feet.

Yes I have two pairs of Altberg and they are top notch but their smallest women's size is 3 and a half, I am looking for size 2. I did contact them to ask but no go, I am guessing they cannot get the sole in that size. The problem with children's shoes is they are poor quality, they are not expected to last more than a few months.
I will look at trials boots but they are not what I am really after.
Thanks for the input.

Have just seen some new Meindl 'hunting' boots in a local gunshop - they looked as though they might be worth a look.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
