Andy Strapz exped panniers to the UK
Can someone tell how much it cost them in total to get a set of these shipped to the UK including import tax?
I would really like some AS exped pans or the Steel Pony variant which are slightly cheaper but dont know if there worth it when i can get the wolfmans or orleibs for £140. I reckon including import duty id be looking at around £200...

Actually sold my AS panniers but still have the racks for the DR650SE if you are interested. Worked perfectly with the soft panniers and had no trouble with the exhaust.
Think these are an alternative make:

I emailled Andy Strapz recently.
Panniers are AU$ 330
Shipping to UK$ 70
Delivery 5-7 working days.
Then you would probably pay some import duty on that.
Nick.

Got the panniers, well happy with them. Parcelforce charged me £26.50 VAT and £13.50 'Clearance Fee' whatever that is! So £40 in total.

I really like the fact that they have pouches on the outside for oil, and or water. That saves a ton of space, and mess inside the panniers.

Im not so sure you can - unless you find someone selling them second hand, the website you quoted above has no stock and advises getting them from andystrapz.com (Australia)
Seems there is no UK importer atm... http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...y-strapz-40563

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
