Mitas E07 discontinued

I'd settled on a set of Mitas E07s for my 650, with the hope of them lasting 10,000

All of a sudden the 130/80/17 size seems to have been pulled from all the popular tyre websites. Mytyres, tyreleader, oponeo etc..

Doesn't anyone know if they've been discontinued at all?

I just pulled off a set of Dakar E07's from my Vstrom. Got over 10,000 miles on them easily, and they still had several thousand more to give if needed.

I managed to buy a set direct from a Mitas importer in the UK in the end.

Strange that other sites stopped listing them though. Perhaps there was a temporary shortage.

Got 3,000 miles on the rear so far over a mixture of dirt/rock/gravel and sealed road. It's worn so that there is a continuous middle band now.

Up front I've got a TKC80. It's an interesting combination.

Don't know what the manufacturer is doing, but I just bought an E07 130 80 x 17 for my Suzuki DR650 2 weeks ago at a dealer in Denver, Colorado.

Does that make the new ones I have in the shed more desirable and valuable then ?

Probably not.....
I just bought a set straight from the manufacturer, over in Slovenia ( I live right on the border) .
Funnily enough I thought they were made in the czech republic , but they seem to have been bought up by SAVA, and are now being made over here instead.

Great tyres by the way. Love them.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
