Arabic word for diesel

I'm preparing my 110 HT for a trip to Ghana and would like to write the Arabic word for diesel next to the fuel cap. Anyone know of where I can get hold of the word.
TIA
Ian

Hi there, bit difficult to write diesel in Arabic on here, - look in an Arabic phrasebook if you really want to do it - much better to just write in French - 'Gazoil' in black or yellow - there should be a 'Diesel' tag by your filler anyway.
Pretty much all of the countries you will go through (on a Western Trans)speak French anyway - apart from Ghana.
Need any info on this trip let me know
Cheers

Thanks for that.
Have you travelled overland to Ghana?
I've been there 4 times now (via air on various projects) and every time seem to meet up with overlanders.
Always promised I would do it myself someday ... and that day is in 2006.
In the meantime I am having great fun prepping both the vehicle and myself.

Hi Ian, Yep, Did UK to Ghana and back November 03 - April 04 in my Defender 90 with my girlfriend. 25,000km - and no mechanical problems !!!
Did a post 'wet' (supposed to be West) Africa information on Sahara/Sub sahara travel forums - should still be around.

My mistake, we were there in February too !
There was a white 90 hardtop, the driver was ex army, told me he bought the vehicle new in Germany (I think) and had just about rebuilt it again. From memory he said he was off to Accra later in the day, but the last I saw of him (the next day) was his feet sticking out of the bottom of a tour company's Land Rover.
Regarding photos, YES, I would love to see some. Email me at
ian at cornwall-online.co.uk (remove the at bit)
Thanks
Ian
