Hi,
The key thing is to decide which vehicle to use and then shop around.
Occasionally fully kitted out vehicles come up, but more often than not you will have to do it yourself.
Personally I would go for a Landcruiser 80 series since earlier models like the 70 series are hard to find at a good price, although running a Landcruiser owners club I am slightly biased!
If you want to find out more about the Landcruisers do try to sign up for the ELCO mailing list, we have a couple of other LC owners in Norway.

Hi Guys
I am sadly just preparing my HJ60 Landcruiser for sale. I need to do a few more things to get it through the UK vehicle test (MOT). It just needed a bit of welding (new sills) and some small items.
I used it for almost 2 months driving thru Algeria and around the Hoggar. It is fitted with BF Goodrich AT tyres which are still in excellent condition.
The only conversion I did was remove the rear seat and weld in some lashing points for rachet straps to keep jerry cans, etc in place.
Since coming back I have used it daily as a work vehicle, plus a few trips around europe (italy, france, spain, morocco)..
I've not quite prepared a 'for sale' advert yet, but you can get a glimpse on gallery pages starting on http://rudge.me.uk/gallery/Algeria_trip?page=1
Click thru the pages to spot the red vehicle
You can get hold of me on chris@rudge.me.uk if you (or anyone else) has an interest.
It will be going on ebay in the next week unless someone says they want it.
Cheers... Chris

Hi Gents,
As per a recent post, I've a great Landy 110 fully kitted out and ready to go. Full docs and photos, but best to see her in the flesh. mail to where_is_paul_now@yahoo.co.uk
We are currently in London but moving to Yorks. The Landy is parked near Litchfield.
Get in touch if you fancy. She's a great car, very tidy and will go on e bay soon after the new year.
Paul

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
