custom made pop top
I have a SCA (competition to Reimo) fitted to the LC75. I think both Reimo and SCA have non-pre-fitted models which need to be shaped to fit a car but SCA has for sure. It cost me E990,- and I fitted it my self. Is about a long days work and a bit unnerving to cut a hole the roof. But its nice to be able to stand up and great with sleeping, nice and cool, good ventilation. I am talking about the partial pop top type (1m x 1.25m hole) which goes straight up, not the one which cover the entire length and lifts only at the back side.
Cheers,
Noel

Thanks Noel, like you say thats pretty similar to the Reimo universal "hubdack", and a pretty similar price. I have looked into these, and they are my last option, as i need a bigger pop top, not the full length of the vehicle, but around 165 x 120.
All the universal ones from Reimo and SCA that i have seen stop at around 110 x 105 (yours must be the largest) hence wondering whether anyone knew of anybody who could make a slightly larger one. Dont suppose its that difficult, but also dont want to devalue my van by making a pigs ear of it..... :confused1:

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
