custom work - anyone have any contacts in UK?
I am looking for some custom work doing such as roof rack, rock sliders as well as some mechanical bits and pieces.
Can anyone recommend anyone that is not too expensive and preferably in the midlands area, although I would be willing to travel.

What sort of custom work and for what vehicle?
It is always best to go with someone that knows the make of vehicle you have or if there aren't any opt for a specialist in the field you are interested in - e.g. overlanding - at least way they can guide you on levels of preparation required and the suitability of kit.
There are many brands of roof rack out there so you should be able to find an off the shelf solution to fit your budget.
As for sliders there are a few options out there depending on model although decent ones can be pricey and do you really need them for overlanding? We have had a few customers asking about them, but after considering costs and weight usually don't bother.

A bit out of your way, but I have been very satisfied with Causeway 4x4 located in Bridgwater, Somerset. They've done most of the work on my Defender to get it ready for my trip.
They came very highly recommended and I've been very happy with the quality of their work.
