Door hasps for padlocks
Hi all,
I have 3 of these fitted, but they are getting old and rusty now.
They were branded as Corbin (owned by) Black & Decker about 10-15 years ago.
Has anybody seen anything smilier I could swap them for please?

Where can I find such a type of lock?
Amazon doesn't have it. I even checked with locksmith Hither Green and still waiting for a response from them. I know they used to sell and install unique or specialty locks, such as high-security locks, biometric locks, smart locks, and more. However, I'm not sure about the availability of this lock in their stocks.

I'm not sure what the problem is with either request. The circular locks are available at any hardware dealer or on the internet--anything from low to very high quality. Hasps like that can be purchased easily in the same places, either ready-made or improvised (as, for higher security, from two through-bolted eye bolts set next to each other so that a lock shackle will pass through both). If desperate, just buy two regular hasps and use the staples (the part pictured here) from each, discarding the rest.
Hope that's helpful.

Many years later and still not been broken into :-)
The hasps are by a company called Corbins or Corbyns, who I think got bought by Black and Decker. They have 4 hidden bolt heads and you cant get the holding plates out when its locked, so they are much stronger than most. Subtle and strong...Advertised as garden shed door hasps I believe....
I got the padlocks from a locksmith, 6 of them all keyed with the same key, thats very important...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
