Footloose4x4 or other suppliers?
Hello,
Does anybody have any experience buying prepped vehicles from these guys?
I have no reason to doubt them, and they've been very helpful by email, but I will be buying unseen, or flying home especially.
No offence intended to Footloose, but I'd like some reassurance. Feel free to email me.
Are there any other suppliers of prepared 4x4 vehicles in UK or Europe?
Thanks
JT

On the issue of Footloose, I've had no experience of them, but am sure that others on the list might be able to comment ;-)
What vehicle are you buying? Is it something they have just prepped or is it one of their customers.
If the latter, try to get contact with previous owner to get some history.
If you are considering a Landcruiser, I might be able to find another user in the area to go and take a look at it for you.

Have a look on the LRO site, www.lro.com and maybe post this question there, I think a lot of the guys there use Footloose.
Trek overland prep vehiches (again, I think.) I'm doing all this from memory as I'm at work and don't have time to check for you.
Just a couple of ideas.

Only bought bits from them but they seemed good. Have however seen their kitted out display vehicles at some of the shows and they look great. The fit outs look expensive but really well done, significantly different league to the other vendor display vehicles set up for overlanding.

I have to say I went to see footloose and whilst their work was excellent, I really didn't get a good feel from them. I had a budget and they laughed at it.
I then went to Foleys and they were completely different, basically telling me that the trip was the most important thing, not the budget.
Stuart was really refreshing.
Obviously all of these chaps are in it for their business, but as I said, I had a much better "vibe" from Foleys and thus went with them. And the job they did was excellent.
