Depends where you plan upon travelling but left hand drive is predominant in Francophone Africa (North and West Africa) and right hand drive in anglophone Africa (East and South).
An advantage with right hand drive is the locals in a left hand drive country would not consider stealing it - too strange - and vice versa!
If you intend selling it then you must choose the set-up which is most desirable for your potential purchasers.
If you intend bringing it home and using it when you're not on expedition then I would want the driving side to be the norm in my country of residence.
Driving wise I don't care both are fine once you've adjusted.
