Side Lockers for Land Rover ?
Can anyone advise me as to where in the UK I can get some side lockers for my 100 Hard Top?

Foleys sell Rhino side lockers (about £300 all in) otherwise you can tat them from MOD vehicles.

I'm going to try making my own alu ones.

I've just been looking at the same pages as well. He seems to have jackable sills fitted to his LR, which I'm not sure the Foley ones will work with.
Would be interested to know how you get on.
I have just returned from Morocco having given my 110 a bit of "field testing" and have decided to go down the side locker route as the extra internal space/easy access would be appreciated. (% jeey cans for diesel and water behind the bulkhead is perfect until you want to refill.

Hi,

I have just bought mine from:

foleyspecialistvehicles.co.uk/export.htm

They were about 150 pounds for the two I think.
I fitted them myself in about four hours and Im not much of a mechanic. I used a jigsaw to cut the panels. They fit them four you in a couple of hours for about 100 quid.

--Are you sure? They're listed at £120 each plus VAT and delivery on Foley's site. Bit rich for me.

Just spoke to Foley's - definitely £120+VAT+del. each. Look like a good product, if you've got the cash.

Ian, I agree lockers are a good solution. Fabricated aluminium ones should work out much cheaper and lighter. I'll post photos when they're done.

I have also just spoken to Foleys and they have confirmed that their side lockers are not compatable with jackable sills !!!
So would be really interested to know how you get on.

You can buy the older 110 military side jerry can lockers, or the later Wolf XD ones (which are better as they're waterproof so the cans don't get covered in mud and poo when you go off road).

Have tried to get them through local Land Rover parts supplier and have been told that as they are from the military catalogue, they are unable to supply them as the paperwork involved with getting them from Land Rover and declaring that the bits will not be supplied to an unfriendly nation/state is just not worth the trouble !!!!

I once asked at Dunsfold about the price for a friend and they told me to forget buying them from LR as the price was just silly. I guess this is why Foleys make a kit tec

Some time ago Blanchards or one of those organisations were knocking out ex mil lockers for £175 a pair, maybe they're still available. Probably not Wolf spec though.

I suggest you go to a different LR dealer then, or ask to speak to the manager. as the military bits are 100% available for anyone to buy, no special paperwork at all is needed, they just click "order" on their microcat system and the parts arrive 24hours later.

absolutely as above, there are plenty of crashed wolfs out there! Although some folks do take the whatsit on ex military parts, especially wolf ones, so they may not be cheap.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love.
