Emok Motorcycle festival of 2008

EMOK MOTORCYCLE FESTIVAL 2008
EMOK is the leading Turkish Enduro Motorcycle Club which also functions as an effective public pressure group concerning many motorcycle related domestic issues with the capacity of its distinguished members.
The "International EMOK Motorcycle Festival" is the largest biker gathering in Turkey which has been organised annually since 2002 in different regions selected with emphasis to outstanding natural and cultural characteristics. This year`s event will be organised outside the city of Bilecik onJuly 3rd-6th 2008 (actually Küçükelmalı region of Pazaryeri, Bilecik; GPS coordinates ....)
Bilecik is the region where the Ottoman Empire was founded by Oguz establishments back in 1299. Behind a vicious appearance on the battlefield, the Ottoman pioneers developed strong procedures and institutions which gradually helped turn the empire into the strongest 16th century state in the world. This venue provides many opportunities to trace the foundations of the multicultural traditions which evolved into the tolerance that enabled peoples of many different religious and ethnic origins to live together in harmony to create the mighty empire which ruled vast regions in Europe, Asia and Africa for nearly 600 years.
EMOK embraces these concepts of freedom, brotherhood; and tolerance; therefore Foreign Bikers are most welcome to participate as primary guests. EMOK will take pride in hosting all foreign Bikers coming from as near as neighbouring Greece to anywhere from as far as northern Europe, the Middle East or anywhere else. Special assistance will be provided for all Foreign visitors - please email info@emok.org or call +90 533 333 36 65.
Many bikers choose to camp in the festival grounds where organised camping substructure including parking, different eateries and showers are well provided at affordable prices. Hotels and other opportunities are also available in the vicinity for those who would prefer them.
Daily excursions, exhibitions, explorations, various games and different contests with attractive prizes and certainly rock concerts and live parties add color and excitement, while many sponsor companies from different sections the motorcycle sector provide a wide range of varieties including test drives of various models, maintenance and different products day and night.
Be there; don`t miss the fun and excitement!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
