Car Hire in England

HI

Can anybody recommend a car for hire which will hold 4 adults and 4 cases. It's difficult to tell from websites just how big they are.

thanks

Hi Azzure

Not sure where you are based or what your expectations are. A good sized family car that would take 4 adults and cases would be a Ford Mondeo, VW Passat, Vauxhall Insignia, Toyota Avensis, Honda Accord or equivalent. smaller and you will struggle on the luggage; if you are worried about luggage capacity get an "estate" version (station wagon).

Even better if your budget stretches that far get an MPV - Ford Galaxy or equivalent.

Cheers
Andy

In addition to that specification I suggest that you also look for 4 door vehicles; 2 door cars are a PITA for 4 adults.

"Auto Europe" are worth a look; nothing to do with me except as a satisfied customer/end user.
They act as an agent for all vehicle hire, around the world basically, and source the best deal that their buying power can find at any particular time.

to the HUBB by the way - first post! Stick around a while

There are many companies that hire out vehicles and to find the cheapest you should look in your local paper as these are normally cheaper than nationwide companies. As for reliability go for Hertz or one of the other major hirers although these are more expensive. Try to get someone in the middle bracket of these two as you then get a reliable vehicle at an affordable price.

Hello. There are so many services for hiring car in England , where you can choose a car for you. Also, you should remember about insurance. It's important. especially in the big city.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
