Desperately seeking KTM dealer in Spain this Xmas
Hi,
I urgently need my KTM 640A serviced and stamped for 9000 miles sometime between 28th December and the start of January, anywhere between Bilbao and Gibraltar.
I've got a trip to West Africa hanging on this - I was let down late on the 23rd Dec and everywhere is shut between now and my departure of the 27th Dec.
Please let me know of any KTM approved garages that may be open over this period!
Thanks and happy holidays,
Martin

Have e-mailed the KTM dealer in Bilbao in my finest Spanish. Let's hope he can a) understand it and b) do something.

Go to this link on the KTM website - Listado de concesionarios - Models & Accessories - KTM.com - Ready to Race
Select the country, then the province on the route you are taking. This will give you a list of KTM dealers. What you can then do is contact them to see if they do an official KTM service (a service is a 'revisión' and a workshop garage is a 'taller') or if they know where you can get an official service done. We can help you if you need a Spanish translation.
Spain don't celebrate Christmas until 6 January, so most places will only close Christmas Eve (when the whole of Spain shuts down including all the bars) and Christmas Day.

I rang the dealer in Burgos who was in, but I can't speak spanish!
Can someone help me translate into Spanish:
"Hello!
I need a service on a 2007 640 Adventure 15k: oil, filters, valves and rear TKC80.
I need between 28th December - 30 January.
When are you open? "
Thanks!

My Spanish isn't perfect, but this should help. I think it will probably be better if we call the dealer for you. Do you have the telephone number? They may have closed now until Boxing Day (everywhere closes from 2-5pm in Spain) but because it is Christmas Eve, they probably won't be open again until after Christmas.
Here's a linkey for an English/Spanish Motorcycle Dictionary that you might find helpful - English-Spanish motorcycling dictionary
Hola.

Dakota, pegaso, all
Thanks for the help last week. Am still out in Morocco; funnily the bike broke down 2 miles off the ferry in spain! After a call to KTM the bike was rescued to the nearest dealer in Bilbau, who had everything I needed and did the work in a few hours - lucky or what?!
Thanks again for the offers of help, a thankyou is in order!
