France - E5/A63/E70 south from Bordeaux
Hi,
Just a heads up, most of the exists are closed until Bayonne... the exit for Dax is open, but there are road works...
If low on fuel, make sure the fill up at the first tank after getting out of Bordeaux.
North bound does have a fuel stop or two.

Yes, went down to St. Jean de Luz last weekend. The weather was terrible, large numbers of Spanish trucks which I think were trying to get out of France before the Sunday restrictions. Apart from the exits being shut the lanes have been narrowed with the hard shoulde and half the inside lane being coned off. Makes passing trucks in the spray that bit more exciting.

I thoroughly enjoy the spring weather all the way from Paris to Dax... it was a rather mixed bag of rain...

Rain rain rain
Last weekend I was also on that road. I saw the traffic was bad heading towards Spain. I didn't have problems the other way round as I was coming from Spain, only the rain didn't give me a break until I got to Poitiers. I have to say I got dissapointed on most of my "Gortex" gear, starting by my SIDI adventure boots, not recommended.

and more rain...
Me too, from Cazaubon in SW France to Santander for the ferry - or NOT!! The outgoing ferry was cancelled due to the weather so ended up riding 800 kms in really nasty conditions for nothing! Thanks Brittany Ferries!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
