Have faith
We broke down in a car once in Turkey[2001], and had to be towed off the motorway. When the tow truck took us to the main Ford dealer we were very worried about how much it was going to cost us. After numerous cups of free coffee and five mechanics working on our car for three hours we were presented with the bill that included the towing charges, the total converted to pounds was a mere 12.50p.
Not all countries rob you blind.

Thanks for your help guys. Fortunatly it was only the clutch cable that went to I was still able to drive it.
Lessons learnt : Don't follow taxi drivers to hotels!
Do your own bartering.
The hotel manager was really aggressive and ripped us off a bit however we did meet another couple who were doing the exact opposite trip, India - UK at the hotel (Andrew and Amelia in a HJ60 landcruiser) who's advice has been invaluable.
We are now in Marmaris for a week off with my brother before collecting our Iran visas and heading east.
Happy days!!!!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
