Need help from bike/rider on Isle of Man this week!

Hi, not sure about the appropriate place to post this so I'll try here.

I'm a filmmaker filming the Relentless Suzuki superbike team from Northern Ireland this season (both BSB and road racing) and we're headed to the Isle of Man to shoot a TT recce this weekend (leaving this evening, hope to be filming Thursday through Saturday, March 18-20, 2010).

I am in need of some assistance from a safe, generous soul who might already have a largish touring or dual sport type bike on the IOM right now who might be interested in spending part of a day (probably Friday) helping me film one of the racers riding the TT course (not race speed, mind you).

I need to film from the pillion seat alongside the racer, and my needs are specific to the point that it needs to be a good pillion seat, I need a top box (no panniers, but pannier frames are a help), and you don't mind if I sit backward while I film. Unfortunately, plans to get my mate to IOM with his big BMW GS with whom I usually do this kind of work fell through because of a lack of transport options. Relentless Suzuki are attempting to make alternative arrangements for me but none have been confirmed, and I'm worried someone will turn up with a sport bike with no top box... and that won't work for me.

It should be good fun, and if you have the right type of bike and you're interested, please email me: mollystack @ gmail . com

Many, many thanks,
Molly

I have posted this link on the IOM one for you, lets hope that that this year it will be Relentless Suzuki at the TT and not 'Resultless'!

Thanks Dave! Well, the boys are flying fit, Camo's shoulder is well mended, and they're ready to go. We're all looking forward to it.

Just to clarify a question that was posted on the IOMTT forum, which I can't seem to get registered for so I'll post this reply here:

Question:
"hmmm if he's filming for a commercial venture he might fall foul of the exclusive film license deal if he tries to use it-it doesnt say on the link but it sounds like it is a commercial venture with him filming suzuki!!!"

Firstly, and sorry for being pedantic, but I'm a "she"...
As for the nature of the project, I will not be infringing on any rights. I have been commissioned by TAS Racing and Relentless, and my work is to be posted on the TAS Racing and Relentless websites, and is strictly about the riders in the TAS team. This bit of filming I am doing this week is part of one piece about the road racing side of TAS which will include TT and the NW 200.

Again, if there is anyone on the IOM with a touring or dual sport bike and preferably with a top box who doesn't mind me arsing about on the pillion seat (I've been told you hardly notice I'm there) I'd love to hear from you. I'm looking for help possibly on Friday.
Thanks!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
