wreckers in Germany
Hi there,
the DR650SE was sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland until 2001, so you should be able to find a used wheel with a wrecker in one of this countries. But make sure before you send them money, that the wheel is not from the pre96 models.
Vienna is not that bad of a place to break down, even in winter :-) ... go and see the xmas market and have a glühwein.
good luck

Jordan, I do have access to DR850 parts in Graz.
Unfortunately I can't tell if 850 parts fit your 650.
Feel free to directly call or mail me if you think there is anything I could help you with. A couch and workshop is also available in Graz.
Wauschi

Hi Jordan, hi Wauschi ,
our friend Thomas lives near Vienna and offered his help, too (trailer and all), but does not have parts.
I live in Graz, about 250 km from Vienna.
Depending on what is really broken a sprocket carrier may be sufficient?
There are 2 on ebay Austria for the XF650, as I have read above they may fit:
http://www.ebay.at/itm/SUZUKI-XF650-...item3615c51c38 (ebay 232293473336)
http://www.ebay.at/itm/SUZUKI-XF650-...item361d9a8424 (ebay 232424899620)
I will called the sellers company if they have a complete wheel for you as well, but that was already gone.
They run a breakers yard and do a lot of parts sales, so maybe the wheel was just too bulky to put it on ebay.
This is their shop in case you need anything else:
http://www.bike-recyc.at/index.php?id=2
On ebay: http://stores.ebay.at/BIKE-RECYC-AUS..._sid=108469357 (already filtered for DR650)
850 parts seem to have a bigger rear axle, so may not fit.

Ah, I have a breakers list on my website, but not sure all the contacts are still alive:
Die motorang-Seiten: Motorrad-Gebrauchtteile
Some of them are more Yamaha guys as that is what I ride.

The rescue mission is on its way. We connected via Whatsapp.
Tom and Jordan will be picking up the broken DR650 this evening, and meet the seller of a set of wheels tomorrow noon near Vienna, assuming that the rear wheel will perfectly fit Jordans bike.
This is what guardian angels look like these days - meet Tom:

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
