Poland.
Further to advice on my last post, extended my journey time to 14 days. Can anyone confirm/advise on the following;
What Docs required for bike?
Mobile phones, will they work ok?
Best breakdown/recovery service?
Euros, are they accepted?

Fazer67 -
Nothing unusual regarding docs - registration document and a Green Card. I heard that a foreign national liability insurance should work after Poland joined EU but I wouldn't take a long trip without strong confirmation of such news.
Mobile phones will work very well, just quite expensive due to roaming.
Euros are accepted in some hipermarkets like Tesco and at tollway booths but in general you need zloty. No problem using credit/debit cards, you can get zloty's from ATM's.
I don't have an advice on a nationwide breakdown/recovery service. There is one offered by PZMot (auto club service) but I have no idea if this is worth recommendation.
Good luck,
Kris

Therefore your bike is insured for Poland as well (might be TPO), You don't need a green card nor buy insurance at the border.

Fcasado is most likely right. OTOH, here in Poland I get a Green Card for free when I buy the obligatory liability insurance. Maybe you can get one as well? You'd certainly need it if going anywhere outside EU (Ukraine, Romania, Balkans etc.) Check it, you'll probably need the Card some day anyway.
Enjoy the trip,
Kris

Funnily enough some insurers here in UK won't issue you a green card as it's not needed when travelling within the EU anymore.

My insurance company tells me today that I do not need a green card?
Many thanks for the comments.
Best regards to all, Rob.

Fazer:
Last time I was in Poland was about 3 years ago. It was much less 'exotic' than I expected, so far as encountering any problems was concerned. I bought a whole bunch of the local currency before I entered the country, only to find out that there are ATMs everywhere and they all accepted my international bank card.
There are gas stations in every town that are just as modern (if not more so) that what you will find in the UK or North America - just pull up, stuff your credit card in the pump, and fill up.
It's quite a trouble-free country so far as logistics go.
