Road works in Northern Germany? Where?
Looks like I may well be riding from Rotterdam to Rostock in a few weeks.
However, I will be doing so against the clock!
So, are there any major road works on the Munster - Hannover - Hamburg - Rostock motorway route, that I should know about?
Thanks in advance.

There's nothing worthwhile on that route at the moment that looks like it's a long term roadworks to hold you up. But in a few weeks......?
One thing, why via Hannover?
Isn't via Bremen quicker?

Great! Thanks for the interpretation.
As for Bremen...er, yes it is. I just wasn't concentrating when looking at Google Maps!

You should know one thing about road works in Germany: they tend to dig bigass holes into perfectly fine roads around early December in order to use up their yearly budget, otherwise they might end up getting less money next year. Thus, prepare to see construction sites with one or two people standing around, not doing much work. Then again these pseudo road works mostly occur in cities, and seldom on major but rather secondary or tertiary roads.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
