scandanavia 08
Flickr: windraven's Photostreamfour week trip to scandanavia in september.almost 7,000 miles starting in dublin down through wales and england to france via the channel tunnel ,then up through france belgium holland germany denmark norway sweden to the lofoten islands north cape down through northern finland sweden ferry to germany holland belgium france tunnel to england wales and back to dublin..a lot of miles but a lot of fun.perfect weather in the far north for over two weeks, bike for this trip was a ktm990 adventure.great bike well able for the job and never had a single problem.kept the oil topped up . i was in two minds about what kind of trip this was going to be and again probably carried too much luggage.i spent a week in the lofoten islands without doubt the highlight of the trip and rented a fishermans rorbu.september is out of season and reductions are available if you look for them.the lofoten islands are a great place to ride a motorcycle, rugged terrain stunning views, roads, bridges, tunnels and certainly very little tourist traffic at this time of year made it great fun bombing around over humpback bridges that gave you the same thrill as a rollercoaster ride.http:www/flickr.com/photos/mingynar/

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
