Sharp objects on UK ferries
After last years firewood debacle, I'm planning on carrying a small axe/dry wall hammer on the outfit to split logs/get at the dry bit for the winter rallies. I was planning to mount this externally (with a cover) as it's something that can get wet and still work. I was just about to start making a holder to go alongside my shovel when I had a horrible thought. Will the Elf-n-safety/knife monitors at Hull docks want to treat me like a murderer and take 20-quids worth of B&Q's ****est ironwear off me? Better to keep it hidden along with my knife, fire lighters and whatever else could probably get me locked up?
Anyone had hassle with auxilliary tanks or jerry cans either? My auxilliary tank usually goes on the boat with waterproofs packed round it, but empty in case they want to check. With the fuel price difference I'm tempted to have it half full.
Cheers
Andy
