Thumbs up Stella Alpina, europes highest Enduro meeting

Hello everybody,

next week it is time again for the well known Stella Alpina, a free enduro meeting above Bardonecchia (Italy). Even thogh the camping place is much lower, the highest point of the meeting is at over 3000meter above sea level.

For years endurists have been coming to that meting every second weekend in July. There are up to 500 guys (some say thre have even been up to 1000 in good years).

Anyway, since I have been several times now and I have even seen guys from Norway up there, I believe the one or the other on the road can manage to visit the stella.

Here are also some pictures from the last years: http://www.moto-adventure.ch/gallery...?g2_itemId=625

For the german speaking guys there is also a report, in case you do not know that great event until now: http://www.moto-adventure.ch/touren/...ommeiller.html

I am looking forward to meeting the one or the other there!

Until then

That looks incredible! I guess you're back home now. Was it a good turn out? Did the guy on the GSXR have a GS this year? Let us know!

Zimi,
Every year, for the past 40+ years and again next year. There is no publicity and it needs to stay that way to keep it the way it is. You just turn up in Baddonecchia on the 2nd Sunday of July and do it.

ps. It is not an enduro meet. I mean it is not one of those, definitely not; it is for road bikes and for fun, non-competitive etc etc

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
