Sweden off- and onroad
Hello bikers,
I am lokking for nice offroadtracks coming from Oslo into Sweden (over Mora) next summer. Can anyone tell me, if there are nice gravel roads legaly ridable? I will ride with a sozia but am have a good enduro machine and I am used to bad roads (used to ride in South america). Anyway, I will have about 13 days until I have to be in Göteborg for my ride back. So the daily average distance might be between 300 and 400 km, depending on the quality of streets and the weather. are there other non-bike-must-sees?
Which guy or girl has some good advice for me? I will be on the road with me tent, which means I love lonly places to camp and certainly love beatiful small lakes and quite places.
I am looking forward to getting a lot of nice inputs.
thanks in advance

If you are going that way you will be in heaven for off-roading. Absolutely fantastic roads. No problems to find places for camping. You just stop whereever you are and an a lot of places you find small freshwater streams that you can drink the water from.
If you want detailed info go to SOE
It is the homepage for "Sweden's Offroad Entusiasts". There you can get a lot of info. If you ask kindly you may get GPS-tracks, roadbooks, or advises where to ride. If you don't get any good response there then send me a PM here and I'll help you.

If you can get up to Mora/Orsa its a beautiful bit of country with plenty of logging tracks to get off road.
Also, while riding around Sweden earlier this year I discovered a few Biker clubs with very cheap camping/cabins/rooms.
On the outskirts of Mora I was rescued from monsoon like rain by a couple of locals who introduced me to Redwings ( Red Wings Mora MC klubb) the local bike group. They had camping and cabins and even have a drying cabinet outside to dry all your wet bike gear. There's not normally anyone there until 6pm though.
The two guys that rescued me let me drop my bike and wet clothes off at the club house and then took me on a guided tour of the local sights. Sweden may not be as pretty as Norway but the people are fantastic.
