Iveco Daily 4x4 Intercoolers
Rather than adding this to the wandering Iveco post on this forum I thought i'd split it off
Have spoken to Andy @ Allisport, a friend of mine about intercooling the 2.5 turbo engine and he says he's done it to quite a few 4x2's but never to a 4x4
Is there alot of difference in the engine compartment between a 4x4 and a 4x2 ?
Rich - Whos probabily a little over excited about his new toy !

Luke will know Rich but, from what he mentioned to me, the cabs are the same so presumably the engine compartment is the same too.

How's your french?
here's the link: BMH Story's forum • Voir le sujet - INTERCOOLER pour moteur 8140 23
If you can plumb (the air piping), bend some brackets up and fettle an injection pump you're home free.
That silly tool he made up is a Bosch long socket, should be easier to find in the UK than in France; trade suppliers are cagey types that don't like the general public here.
Minf you if Andy's had experience with the 4x2 he'll know all about the pump site too.
The motors are identical except for the bloody great timing chain housing on the front and the clutch operated fan (instead of a viscous coupling)
The blocks are identical except for one oil feed hole drilled to bring oil to the timing chain.
Good to see you're already planning the fettles for my truck ...

Mark
Don't know costs yet and Andy's not willing to commit until he's seen the 4x4 so it'll be a while before I know, the landrover intercooler cost is around £400 for the uprated kits, the Iveco will need hoses etc. so these will need to be factored in

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
