Industry Bushfire Bulletin
Tourism Victoria extends its heartfelt condolences to all Victorians who have been so tragically impacted by the recent fires.
Tourism Victoria has activated the Tourism Crisis Response Plan and established the Statewide Bushfire Tourism Response and Recovery Committee.
This committee is now meeting on a daily basis to discuss updates and implement key steps to provide support to our industry.
A key priority of Tourism Victoria’s immediate efforts is to work with our tourism industry colleagues who are directly and indirectly affected by this terrible disaster.
We will be working with industry, businesses and stakeholders across Victoria to ensure that our colleagues in the impacted regions gain the vital support they need at this difficult time.
As many regions of Victoria are currently still affected by fires and emergency service rescue efforts Victoria’s emergency services are urging people to reconsider their immediate travel plans.
With rescue efforts underway and road closures across the State travellers are being asked to avoid travelling to the affected bushfire regions, to allow emergency services to begin their crucial work.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
