HU Victoria Meeting, Oct 23-25 2015 - New Location!
It's taken quite awhile, but we're pleased to announce that we've found a great new location for the HU Victoria 2015 event! Camp Marysville is just out of the village of Marysville on 20 acres bordered by the Marysville State Forest and rolling farmland, only 90 mins from Melbourne CBD. Marysville is in the Yarra Ranges, and the nearby Black Spur and Reefton Spur rides are famous with Australian motorcyclists!
The Camp was used as temporary housing while the town rebuilt after the fires, and in the last couple of years has been taken over by a non-profit organisation that runs educational programmes there, but also rents out the facilities to groups. They have everything we need on site, but with the added benefit of the town being close by.
Online registration is open now, early bird rates until March 31!

We are looking forward to attending
Lida and I are planning on attending, all going well! Will be our first H.U. get together. WE have been tripping around the eastern states of Australia and South Australia for the last 4 years and now with visions of traveling 'further afield' and having viewed the five DVDs, we are looking forward to meeting others. Twenty five years ago we spent 4 years away from Katoomba, touring on bicycles. Now, a few years older, and Lida having gained her full motorcycle license, and...our son has reached 19 years of age, we have started touring again. As usual, small trips first, followed by trips of increasing length. New motorcycles are ordered and we look forward to continued adventures. If all goes as planned, we are off to Darwin via central Queensland and down the center for a six week jaunt in May/June this year. Rod.

I'll be riding over there from Adelaide on my Tiger 800xc. It's a great event well worth it, if you're even half tempted to travel.

Sounds good. I'm in the same boat regards getting there and haven't organised much yet. Be good to tag along with a few others.Happy to meet up with the 4 of you beforehand over bite to eat or a coffee.
Tailem Bend isn't a bad spot to meet. I tend to go via the hills from my place out to Palmer then head across to Murray Bridge.
I've committed to volunteering at the event and as such have said I'll aim to be there by 2 pm on the Friday.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
