Names + NICKS...
Beyond pedestrinaism and old XT... 95% we are going on a rented car and staying in hotel. Any other option would be asking too much to my almost 7 months pregnant wife... (unless we buy a 2nd hand car earlier!).
Just a comment: last time we all carried stickers with (only) our 1st name. Bike model or continents do not look important to me... but I would love to see NICKS next to names to identify people whose posts I enjoyed here in HUBB. Anyone agrees on that? Comments?
BTW, strongly recommended to anyone doubting whether to come or not. COOOOOME, it's great fun!
See you soon,
Esteban
PS: Jens, as soon as we get the Kia Picanto or Fiat Panda rented, I'll book... "less is more"!

Not this fall...
Hi,
Due to a motorcycle crash, I will unfortunately not be able to attend to the meeting this time . The doc said that it is not really recommended to drive a bike with a broken clavicle... and there is also some work on the bike….
Regards from Switzerland

Sven,
you know that some fine Scottish Whisky is already awaiting you , so you are not allowed to stay at home (Schlüsselbein - das is doch kein Beinbruch, od´r?)! So take your chance and accept Estebans offer (who’s contributions, BTW, are ALWAYS more than useful) and get a lift to the meeting!
Hope to see all you guys next week

Thanks Jörn for the compliment.
Sven, on the way back we may do some tourism, like a short visit to Heidelberg; I hope you wouldn't mind. Rest assured it won't be demanding, my (pregnant) wife won't certainly walk up the Philosopher's trail. If Louis shops open on Sunday, as well (no problem on that, uh!).
But up to you, it's your clavicle and you know how it feels and if a camping ground is the right place to sleep now.

Oh, Renato, she knows too well my camping skills and won't risk it, so we go to a hotel!
Looking forward to meeting you all and have the same nice chat and laughs. I have to hear about your summer trips, such as the one to St Petersburg on a 1150 (anything else on the pipeline?)!

Hi
We are currently in Germany have a 4 x 4 truck built, used to be motorcyclists. Looks like a fun meet, will there be anyone there that has a 4 x 4 truck or planning to have one.
Its a fair drive for us, but we will have a motorhome to stay in.

Hi guys,
Well, we hope to make it... as the bike is still being fixed...
They are TRYING to fix it this week, so I hope we could leave friday morning from Belgium, thursday would be better but I have almost no hope anymore for that, so we will hopefully be there from friday afternoon or so...
IF we can make it, we can bore you with a ride report for our 4 months trip (Scandinavia & Russia on 2 DRZ's 400 and Balkans on the GSA) and a TechWorkshop about photography... but I won't be able to tell for sure, since I am phoning twice a day to BMW to hurry them up to fix my GSA... ;-)
So hopefully see you this weekend, and if somebody is up to it, we are going from the meeting straight to Morocco for 3-4 weeks....

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
