Travellers meeting in Portugal!!
What about a travellers meeting in PORTUGAL!!
Great SUN, WINE and Sea Food waiting for you!
I'd be pleased to receive everyone to a meeting....you know these kind of events are rare in this country where only RR bikes are adored!!!
Perhaps in 2003!!! What do you think?

We'd be delighted to support you if you want to lead it. If it's in 2003 we MIGHT even be there ourselves.
But you could aim for one later this year, say September. Up to you, let me know how we can help!
Start by contacting the communities in Portugal and Spain and see if you can get support.

Hello, How about a meet either the week before or the week after the Faro Rally, so that those from other countries in Europe can take in both, the 2003 date should be about 18th July.

Hi ppl
it's good to know my idea was well accepted.
You could help me about somethings:
how these kind of meetings usually are? They aren't like Faro or other motorcycle meetings arent they??
What are the common "attractions"?
how many people usually go to those meetings?
say something and i'll think on a date!
cheers

The HU meet in the UK was nothing like a 'normal' english bike rally. The differences were, no disco, bands, games or traders. Just great overland bikes, good conversation, a place to put the tent, and presenters-travellers that are willing to share there stories with others. Obviously in the UK due to the weather, a function room of some sort was needed, along with equipment for showing slides etc. Why not get in touch with the organisers if you need any advice.

Great!
That was my idea of a meeting of this kind.
I'll check for a place, on the countryside preferably. And what about WC and drinking/eating?
For me (i'm a scout) i use nature's WC and with time i could arranje a spot or a place near a nice, cosy, small village!!
I'll email Grant Johnson.
Thanks mate

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
