Copper Canyon?
AFAIK, the meeting in Copper Canyon is still a go for mid-Oct. This is a great chance to do some international training without a huge investment in time and money.
CC is easily accessible from the US and the scenery is second-to-none.
If you have considered it, please do so. You will not regret it!
If you're really interested in extending your tour, consider the Mexico BMW Rally which occurs the very next weekend.

Yes, the Copper Canyon Meeting is definitely on!
Fantastic riding, great people, lots of fun stuff to see and do. What more could you want?
Even the border crossing is very easy - lots of people had some concerns last year, and were amazed at how straightforward it was - and they'll be back for 2004!
See you there!
Grant

Grant,
Glad that Copper Canyon will be done again this year. Finally got the KLR and have done the mods that I needed. Have marked the calendar for the dates and have even talked a couple of friends into coming along (maybe). Is there anything I need to do to sign up in advance??
Will be good to finally meet you and Susan.
Take care,
John

John,
As soon as we get accommodations for Mexico sorted we'll post the registration form on the site.
Keep an eye on the site home page, meetings page, or the ezine for more details.
I'm anxious to get it posted myself!
See you there!

Accommodations still in progress, but no worries, we're on and in Creel or close by.
Registration form IS up, so you can register and be sure to get in, and your t-shirt - T-shirts PRE-orrdered in time WILL have H...U... Mexico Travellers Meeting, those ordered later will only have "H...U... Travellers Meeting" on them.
See you there!

John,
completely unknown at this point - you think we actually PLAN this stuff?
Susan will probably not be able to come, she's working in England till at least end October.
At this point I'm not sure if I'm riding down, or flying all the way or part way and picking up a bike en route. Time it takes to ride from Vancouver is a waste of time I don't have, and I've done that ride too many times already! But I WILL be there one way or another, so see you there!

I just spoke to Fernando. The two main contacts are Eduardo and Fernando and the others speak limited English. Laura is a good contact based on 'gasrider's comments.
Here's the current availability left:
..............................Thursday.........Fri day/Saturday
Type A..........................4.....................2
Type B..........................8.....................8
Type E..........................2.....................1
Plus, there are two Suites for the BMW-rich-guys.
Again, the contact info is as follows:
Toll Free From USA: 1-888-6102095
From México: 01-800-710-6422
You can probably find a cheap room in town but at $20 per body, you can stay at the main location. Either way, it's all good right?!

Have made my reservations by speaking to Eduardo who was very helpful. Are you still going to cross the border at Presido??
Take care,
John

I knew better. Still have my head up my rear after returning from a Colorado, Utah trip. The Texas rider has contacted me and I'm straight now.<G>
See you in Copper Canyon.
Take care,
John

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
