Hopefully i too will be there at the meeting. If there is anyone else out there
reading this post and is thinking of going i can tell you that the twisty roads in that part of the mountians are awesome riding. This will be my first

It's coming up soon so if your even thinking about it hop on that bike and head off.If your down in south Florida it's only a 8-10 hr ride.If your in the New England,Midwest area about the same time.Beautiful mountians, great twisties, awesome people with great stories = 1 fun weekend.Don't forget
Tail Of The Dragon!!!!I hope i got this link correct Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap and Cherohala Skyway, Graham Co, NC
Check it out.See ya in North Carolina.

...still finalizing route
Thinking of heading down Skyline Drive to the Blue ridge then on to Stechoah to the lodge. Any one going that route? Have some business in DC to attend to first so that is where I will ultimately be heading from (I live in Tennessee 150 or so miles from the Iron Horse Lodge).

Anyone From Atlanta Attending ?
Hi,
I'll be attending the meeting, probably leaving from Atlanta late in the morning on Thursday.
Anyone else from Atlanta going ? Maybe we could ride to the lodge as a group ...
Also, will most folks be camping ?

MegMeg and I will be camping. Depending on the outcome, you may or may not need a reservation to camp at the main place (Iron Horse Lodge). If you havn't yet, I'd give them a call and see if they are at max capacity for campers.
Anyone riding up from the south, keep your eyes open for a 2-up red KLR with a big brown bag on the back!

Dude - It's just plain rude to refer to your woman like that - even if she does have a nice tan. I'll be heading over Friday Afternoon from Asheville 1 up on a red KLR with a KTM 950 in tow - yeah, in tow...
See ya there

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
