cool guys keep it coming.
Mervic: it will be in the state of Rio 'cause this is where I live and it will be easier for me if it is not too far from my home.
If we are not too many (12 to 15) I may rent a full house with also caba~nas included (and pool and churrasqueiria...it's a fantastic place!) .
It is very cheap (only slightly more than camping) in low season cause they don't provide anything (no bedding, towels, Breakfast etc) but the main mansion has a big kitchen and massive living room which would be ideal for presentations or group discussion.
If not I have a camp ground in mind too.

Ok so far we have:
Paulo Assis
E Gadelha
BKM_br
Mario Agius
Mervicfwdc (maybe)
Maja (Maybe)
Myself and the husband
Raoul (maybe)
Anyone else? Are u guys coming with friends?
Potentially only 6 people sure and 3 maybes. Not enough for the "mansion" which rents to 10 people minimum! Might be a very small meeting but in any case it would be nice to get out on the bikes.
We may have to fall back to the campsite that Bruno called, few weeks ago. No need to reserve with small numbers like these!
The alternative to such small numbers is to barge into the Penedo's "Encontro International de Motociclistas" on 3rd, 4th and 5th of August (In Penedo!)
Any thoughts on that guys?

Penedo, RJ, near Campos dos Goytacazes or Penedo, MG, near Formiga and Arcos?
I'm usually not a big fan of big motorcycle meetings in Brazil, the people who usually goes to this kind of meeting are generally more interested in drinking bear, behave badly and to do this kind of stupidity.

Hi Bruno,
I saw the video! Silly indeed. That's not the spirit of the HU that's sure.
We don't care what bike people ride or what travels they have done. It's about keeping the dream of travelling by motorcycle, be it round the world on in your backyard. After all, every big journey starts with a little step!
Let's keep our meeting as scheduled for September.
AS we are not too many, I suggest to meet at this campsite:
=== Camping do jo ===
They have some rooms to rent if you don't want or cannot camp.
I will contact Jo (the owner) to get instructions how to find the place).
See you there!

Oi!
(H)i, Maria!
Penedo seems to be a nice place but I've never been there before . Prior to recommend it , I will check it, specially for camping (it seems to have only one or two there).
Good reason for a short kick - it is only 255 km from Sao Paulo....
In the name of the HU's fraternity, I am comanded and must to do this check with my own eyes. What a sacrifice!!!!!!
Hugs!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
