5th Northern HU Mini-Meet
Hi all
Does anyone fancy another meet to catch up on summer travels etc?
At Ripley we mentioned Langdale campsite in the Lakes, I can check out if we can use the group field as otherwise they do not allow groups on the site (2 families camping together is biggest group they allow), this is the case on a few of the sites over there. I think there are a couple of pubs within walking distance but not sure about brekkie options. Another option could be Tan Hill Inn, North Yorkshire. We stayed there for a night recently. They have camping available at £2 pppn (goes straight in the charity bottle), a bunk house and rooms. They do meals and lovely s. Of course, Blakey Ridge is always an option again.
What about mid-end October, 20th/21st or 27th/28th?
Any other suggestions for venue/date, please post.

Debz, sorry to say Blakey Ridge no longer allows any camping after some nuggets caused a lot of hassle to the owners. I tried to say we had stayed a number of times before with no hassle - but it appears that camping is no longer an option there. If your putting a meeting together I will probably get along depending when its on. However all of september is no good for me as I am already busy or away during the month. Jake.

I'd be up for a weekend meet 27th-28th is best for me but i will make a effort and get along for a get together.
if needed i can get use of a field outside of Hexham nothing onsite but anything can be arranged and if the right numbers around i will arrange breakfast. pub is 2 minute walk. there will be some charge for field but we would have sole use.

Yes Please
FyB interested if date suits. Chris also be interested (we - Chris, Gerry, Si + us) are all back from Iceland so anytime up to February will give warmer temps than last 3 weeks ;-)
First w/e of Oct may be in NL otherwise most free. If we can get we will, but get best date to suit all.
PS real bummer re: Blakey - been camping there in Nov for 17 years with no worries in various size groups.

Hi guys
I can do virtually every weekend except the suggested dates (20/21 and and 27/28) . Can't do 6/7 Oct either. What about October 13/14? Or November?
Shame about Blakey. I'm fine to meet wherever.
Ride safely

The sugested dates 20/21 and 27/28 are no go for me as we are off to Croatia again . Make it November and i think we will get a better turn out, as not to much seems to hapen then, unless your big into the rally scene .

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
