Brighton mini meet (UK) - Friday 9th January 2009
Brighton mini meet - Friday 9th January 2009, 7:30pm onwards at "The Hanover" pub, Queens Park Road, Brighton, BN2 9ZB.
Don't expect anything especially organised, you'll just find a crowd of friendly people, talking trips, exchanging tips (dry out wet boots by boiling pebbles on your petrol stove for 5/10 minutes, drain the water then empty the pebbles into you boots), lot of good yarns, advice on setting up your bike, what to take or rather what not to take and getting out of scrapes.
So weather you're dreaming of taking off or are just missing life on the road, come along as there are plenty of people to lead you astray.

All welcome.

Hangover Meeting
I'll get there somehow. It's the day after my birthday. I live a long way off too. Why, it's uphill all the way and there's a road to cross. I'll try and manage that half mile, but ask in advance if they can get their coffee machine working again. Hic! Linzi.

I was planning on leaving on the 5th of Jan for Africa, but I think I may postpone for a few days, and pop in to this mini meet on the way down.
When I went down for the last one (erroneously on the week before its actual date) I met quite a few of the Brighton bike crew, who said they would love to see us off from there. I am going to take up their offer, as we are sailing from doon south anyway. It would also be good to meet a few more Hubbers before jetting away, so I'm going to make this Hannover meet my pre-send off-send off.
Look forward to meeting you all.
Joel

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
