I was hoping to make it down too but the bike is not running. Nothing serious fortunately, I am giving it a well earned service but found that the correct valve shim had to be ordered from Germany

It was a great weekend with the weather, location and people to make it all happen. Particular thanks to Loo, Gary and Tiffany for organising it and cooking the Saturday night meal and here is everybody enjoying it.
Saturday morning breakfast
And one of Anna making my Honda look like a roller skate, better stick with the Africa Twin I think.

Great weekend, many thanx to all the organisers, ride leaders and providers .
Hope to meet you all again sometime, somewhere.
If anyone is ever heading over the channel by ferry or tunnel drop me a line for an over-night crashpad in Folkestone.

Thanks everybody for a great weekend. Good to catch up with tales of two wheeled wandering, plus great weather and great company. And we even got all the way to Cornwall from London and back again without getting wet!! A miracle.

Fun Weekend
A few more photos
The Campsite was great and we couldn't fault the location with views out to sea and the famous Blue Hills Climb in the background.
As usual for a HU event, a range of bikes turned up
A long day of riding in sunshine on the Saturday and then we lit the fire, ready for the evening's events
A cool but beautifully clear evening meant we could have the presentations outside in the open.
This was Belle and Nads the Gobi Gals, describing their journey from England to Mongolia on Chinese scooters...
The next morning saw the first bike leaving while many were still sleeping in their tents.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
