Hants August Hubb Meet...Top Notch!!
Belle, Nadine, Tony & me (Gordon) have just arrived back home in Surrey after this weekends Hampshire Hubb meet...a lazy ride back through the back roads was just the ticket!
What a really fab weekend superbly organised & arranged by Steve & his family. Great location for camping with every possible facility laid on for all of us. The Test Valley golf club made us very welcome with a very tasty curry for a fiver Saturday evening & a delicious and varied Sunday breakfast selection. The best of weather was laid on too making it all very pleasant indeed...
Amongst the many highlights of this weekend were informative talks on he Saturday evening from Tim on the delights of Morocco & Belle and Nadine telling us of their recent trip to Mongolia on 110cc Chinese scooter bikes. Despite a hot & muggy evening the audiences attention held throughout both presentations...
Sunday morning meant a trip by most Hubbers to nearby Popham airfield to sort through dozens of motorbike jumble stalls...somehow we resisted buying one of the many fine classic bikes there looking for new owners...
Thanks very much to Steve & all his family members and friends for a wonderful weekend which has done much to recharge our batteries!!
Bring on the Cheddar meet in a couple of weeks time!

A brilliant weekend Steve, thanks for the ride-out Saturday morning.
Got caught by a rain storm Sunday on the way home, but luckily it only washed a little of the mud off the bike. That Hampshire mud must be good and strong!
Thanks also for Saturday breakfast, all the golf club facilities, and to Belle and Tim for the presentations.
It's a great location.

Great facilities for a mini meet. I'd be up for a repeat any time.
I really enjoyed the session on taking Chinese junk (bikes) to China.
Tim
PS: if you find a orange head torch...

Well, for my first ever HU meet of any sort - I was impressed. Unfortunately I was unable to stay long, but the talks were fantastic and the welcome I received was just marvelous. Really loved hearing of other scooter adventures an meeting Belle and Nadine!
Definitely doing the Postie Bikes in Oz with them!
Thanks to Steve and everyone for a great evening.
