Hi all,Campsite confirmed we should have our own corner as usual. There is a cafe on the site which does good breakfast etc.I spoke to Ronnie the landlord of local pub who has said he will do the usual quality food at a very reasonable rate, there will also be a selection of local ales and of course fine malts (Rorry comes to mind here !).As for the run out we can do poss,a short local one for the less adventurous and by popular demand the Applecross hillclimb!: ,but there are many options as we are in Gods own biking country here.
Look forward to see ya all,

Well I have changed my holidays to the week after the meet, and I have requested a holiday day on the Saturday, so far it is looking promising, but to be on the safe side full grovel mode will be implemented. The boss drinks coffee with milk and is partial to shortbread, will be heading to a superior shortbread maker this weekend.
Mike will put his holiday request in next week.
Would it be possible to get an invite to the rally in Dornoch please.

For those looking for a wee bit of luxury the campsite in Cannich have opened new heated camping pods which I believe are quite reasonably priced.Click on to Cannich Caravan & Camping park for details.
Angus.

Hi Angus afraid its looking iffy to get up there - as I have another issue after a test run on the bike ( as its had so much work done and most of it non standard stuff its become a trail of little problems to sort. So I can not get the MOT done (its a brake issue) and I need to work on the caliper mount to get it right. If I can get this sorted , the gearbox is done then I may get it MOTd in time to travel up but I think I am going to be pushing the limit a bit. If I can get sorted I will be there but I cant make a promise at this late stage. Jake.
As you can see the bilge pump has been transformed into a full on Dakar HPN type bike ( as I wont be travelling any more other than a few 3 week trips then its been a bit of an indulgence so from this into this the tarts handbag.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
