We had a great time even though we couldnt go on the ride out. Found a couple of roads we had never been on so thats a plus. Home via Avoch for a RBR landmark, over The Lecht (sand & cr** in road still). Managed to stay dry until 40 miles from home then soaked.
shopping list
Headed waistcoat
exped downmat
gloves that dont dye hands black when wet.
Thanks for a great weekend.
Till Next time

Yo
Yo chiz, Bruce, Angus,. XRM and the mad guy who led the ride out, I had a fantastic time. The best ride out I have ever had in my life. Looking forward to the next one. I am not at home yet I stopped at my brothers in Edinburgh and after a trip thorugh his drinks cabinet I decide to stay two nights. Cant wait for the next trip. My only critism was it went too quickly, thanks for the hospitality and all the effort you guys put in. I will be back even if as a tourist. Full report and photos on my blog in a couple of days with a link posted here. Once again thanks to everyone who made this trip special. I owe each and every one of you, details of a trip to sunny Wirral as soon as me and Touring Ted can manage it.
Take care
GM

Nice write up
That amused me GM. Really glad you enjoyed yourself - by the way XRM had come from Kinross and Rory from Huntley not quite local and of course Milimut also traveled from the East but could not make the ride out - loved the nicknames- and especially your descriptions of the Cannich bull run. Spread the word we would like to get the numbers up for next year.
All the best Chizz ( Bruce)

Apologies to all.
I was on Skye for a week and the plan was to head over on the Sat. Family illness meant I had to leave Skye on the Thursday and miss the week-end completely.
I know there are always call offs but frustrated as also missed this week in Glen Coe with other friends. Really keen to catch up with you all asap.
Will check out the photos and hopefully meet up one day soon.
Sounds as if those that managed had a great time.

I have spoken to Robs family and the funeral arrangements are for Monday 22nd August at 1.15, Dunfermiline Crem, I regret I can not attend as I will be away and cant cancel at such short notice but friends and fellow riders are welcome to attend to pay respects.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
