Refund info
Hi Susan, Iain,
Thank you both for the quick reply.
I know you have a lot of organising to do and people to pay therefore if I can't make it please don't bother with a refund as I know my money is going to an excelent cause.
Hopefully, if I'm not keeping the sea lanes open I will be able to make it.
Thanks again.
Jake.

Hi All, thought I'd drop in to draw your attention to the latest presenters to sign up for the HUBB UK.
It's brilliant to have Tim Cullis back with us again. His presentations are always entertaining and the information he passes on in them is invaluable. Check him out and you'll see what I mean.
New to the HUBB UK this year are Tom and Richard Seipp. These guys are cyclists and we think will go down a storm.
Bernard Smith is going to be with us too! Brilliant. If you don't know about this story - Touching the World - then make sure you get into his presentation.
The list of people who have signed up to present is fantastic. Thanks everyone.
Have you thought about sharing some knowledge, fun of the road, hints and tips? We want to hear from you if you'd like a go. Inspiring, Informing and Connecting. That's what it's all about

i assume that there is no limit to ticket sales - so no chance of the event selling out? my partner and i are aiming to arrive in england a day or two before the event, by which point we'll have been on the road for 1 1/2 years
however, having traveled for that long, we know how much how plans can change (usually with little to no warning), so are keen to not buy a ticket until the last minute - is there any chance that we'll miss out if we wait?

Hi San Pedro,
One and a half years!! Great stuff. Which route so far?
Totally understand about changes on the road. Too many restrictions and deadlines can hamper the ride can’t they.
Selling out? One of the great things about the Donington venue is that there's stacks of room for us to ‘play’ with. Even if we were getting full by the time you are in the area we’d make space for you for sure. It’d be great to meet you, and you’ll find that you’ll be amongst stacks of friends.

excellent - we're almost 100% we'll be there
we're planning on stopping in the UK to work for a couple of years*, so are very keen to make the HUBB event, to meet up with like minded folk that will be up for rides (and s) in the UK
*not a concept that we're 100% comfortable with, but the pile of cash we left with is looking decidedly smaller

I'm a volunteer for 2014 but I may be able to do a presentation on my latest trip to New Zealand if that's of interest and would fit in with the volunteering - what d'you think?

Hiya, first of all, I'm chuffed you are helping out again this year. You volunteers are what makes it all work and do so much to help create the magic atmosphere. Cheers!
Presenting? Now that's Iain's side of things. May I suggest that you complete the Presenter Link and then he'll get back to you. In the mean time, thanks very much for offering!!!
See you in 108 days

Did you notice? We now have live music on 2 nights!
You'll find our friend the excellent Steve McGill with us again on Friday night. We've had stacks of requests for him to come back this year. Dun!
And on Saturday night we have the highly recommended group Radio Mary with us in the Orchard.
The Orchard is where you'll find Danny and Fil this year with the Roadkill Cookout and competitions. A great spot to hang out.
Check out the HUBB UK pages for a listen to both Steve and Radio Mary. You'll have to wait until June to hear Danny and Fil sing

Latest news is that the list of presenters has just been updated. There’s a stack of new presenters lined up. Zebb Penman, James Davis, Bruce Porter, Tony Ingles, Jasper Ditton, Anna McNuff, Patrick Cruywagen, Elaine Clark, and Tiffany Coates.
We are going to be spoilt for choice! Whatever you want to learn about or be inspired by, we think the amazing list of presenters will help you out!
And while here we would like to thank Adventure Spec, Code Audio Visual, Touratech, Continental Tyres, Cotswold Outdoor and Pure Bike Tours for their help with sponsoring space at the HUBB UK. Their help is why we've been able to keep the fee for HUBB UK passes at the same rate for three years running! Thanks everyone!

Now here's a request that some of you guys will be interested in methinks. It comes from the guys at The Adventure & Travel cinema, who are going to be with us for the first time.
The Adventure & Travel Cinema was set up as an attraction for adventure and travel shows throughout the UK. The primary idea is to give people an opportunity to show their film work to a wider audience for free. We take full length documentaries but also short films.
Many people have some amazing adventures but don't get enough footage to make a full documentary and we feel people are missing out on some great stuff! We hope this cinema will give people the opportunity to see these films and be inspired! If you know of anyone who might have a film to submit for the Cinema, either long or short, please let us know. tom@geekmedialtd.com

I had an email this morning from a chap I've not met yet. He asked why I go travelling when there's so much to see in my own country. I have to agree with him but perhaps he ought to be coming to the HUBB UK. Then he'll find out why we all buzz about travel. I've invited him and sent him this shot from Vietnam to be going on with.

I've just been looking at some of the shots from last year. This one's from the start of one of the heats of the Slow Bike Race. Did you have a go?
John and Chris will be running it in a very similar way to last year. Heats of smaller cc bikes and larger cc bikes. Then a ride off between the winners from those categories.
A right laugh! Anyone else got a shot they like from it? If you have a look at the footage on the HUBB UK 2014 page you'll see some of the race happening - some surprising contestants too!

Road Kill Cock Out 2014
ROAD KILL COCK OUT 2014
Hi folks it's that time again to come and try some great wild food and if you really want to know, find out what you ate last year?
Yet again we have sourced some new meat for you to sample with the great Fil 'Smoking' Schannini transforming it into an amazing taste phenomenon! Once again we would like you to guess the animal only this year we have saved the skull to help you identify it!!!
This year's other delicacy will be wood cock, better known to country folks as a timber dick. This is cooked intact (no gutting required!) to keep it succulent and give it a great flavour. We'll even teach you how to catch them in the wild!
The fire this year is planned to be even better so come and have a go at making homemade bread; could be useful when you're on your travels? Of course we will have all our usual guests ....... trout ,squirrel ,venison, pigeon etc and we will always welcome any new visitors that you want to bring to sample but please remove any micro chips first as they can chip your teeth!
Now for this year's competition we will be keeping it a secret until the last moment ( it will stop you clever people practising!). Come and sign up at the Cook Out area so you don't miss out and be in with a chance to win a free holiday to Haggs Bank Bunkhouse.
WOW we will have music both nights, and Saturday night will be very different! Come and join us for drink , some food and just a great time round the fire, it's a great meeting place to catch up.
Remember our motto 'no pet is safe!'

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
