HUMM is on! err - what's a HUMM?
Yes it's on! If you were at the UK Meeting you should now all about it - if not, just go to the page for it -
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/humm/
To put it simply, it's a dual-sport / big or little trailie orienteering / map reading trail ride in the Spanish Pyrenees!
It's guaranteed to be a LOT of fun , so check out the page - I'll have a video trailer for you in a couple of days too.
See you there!

Questions
Greetings Mr Johnson
My wife and possibly a friends wife would like to go but they don't fancy riding the trails two up ? Can they go ? if so, do they have to pay the registration fee even if they are not riding the trails ? or can they just book the hotel and go out for the weekend

Hi,
No problem - they can just pay the hotel fee, no ride fee required, and they can sun themselves at the hotel or sightsee. Please send a room deposit of some sort for them with your event payment and be sure to state on the registration form full details, room requirement etc so we get it right from the off.
See you there!

I've probably just failed the first test, but I've searched for a date for this event and I can't find one. Please could you let me know.
Thanks
Paul

Well hopefully I will have replaced my engine and finished all my replacement paperwork by then and we might pop by on our way east as we were planning on doing for the Sisteron meeting which is now cancelled. We wont be doing the trails and will make sure to camp somewhere local so that we don't use up hotel space for HUMM'ers but will be nice to say howsit, maybe help with paperwork at base camp and share a pint or two for a couple of evenings before moving on.

Pity. I really fancy doing this but I was hoping it would coincide with the trip we're already planning to Spain/Morocco in October. No such luck. Unless circumstances change I think we'll have to give it a miss.

HUMM is on! err - what's a HUMM?
I know I'm going to regret asking this and yes I understand what it's all about and yes I have searched but cannot find the answer.
So why is it called a HUMM ?
Thank you.

thanks for the help offer!
I'm sure we can use some, so just drop by and we'll put you to work!
Note that the trails ARE EASY - anything resembling a dual purpose bike / big trailie can do it. And there are MANY choices of routes / trails too.
see you there,
Grant

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
