Lincoln / Newark mini meet? ( UK )
Hi everyone,
**** Edit: mini meet Saturday 4th June
Venue: Fox and Hounds, North Hykeham, Lincoln LN6 9SP
https://www.pubpeople.com/foxandhounds
*********
Would there be any interest on a mini meet located around Newark / Lincoln area? Just drinks or food somewhere and spend an afternoon with likeminded people.
After 2 years of pandemic, I long to get back on the road…. although I nearly had a heart attack when provided quotes to ship or fly our 2 bikes somewhere in Africa.

Great idea Maria,
please keep me posted, if this happens I'll send a note to everyone previous HUBB UK that it's a MINI-MEET.

That sounds like a good run out from Derbyshire.

Well it looks like we have a bit of interest!
Let’s meet on Saturday 4th of June. For those who cannot make it, if there is more interest I can organise another mini meet later in the year.
I will look at venues. I am still fairly new to Lincolnshire. I have a couple of places in mind with ample parking for admiring the bikes, but I need to visit them before.
As I said, the last 2 years feel like I have been living in a hole. On the plus side I got better at killing dragons and monsters in the Xbox!

For some reason I can’t seem to send you a PM.
Anyway, definitely interested just hope the dates work out. We live in the area and are planning a big trip later in the year.
We know a lady that has a bike shop and is in the process of opening a cafe. She has ridden around South America so it will be adventure riding themed - will make a great venue, we will contact her to see if she is opening the cafe soon.
If you need any help with research or just want some company on a ride out let me know.

I'd certainly have been interested and it would have been a good trial run for my summer plans in Aug - after a couple of years of doing very little you end up forgetting what stuff you need to take. Unfortunately I'm going to be in Sweden for a couple of weeks in early June so can't make it. If it works out and there's another one in the autumn I'd be interested in that.

Venue details
Hi everyone,
Find below details of the venue.
mini meet: Saturday 4th June - from, say 2pm onwards?
Venue: Fox and Hounds, North Hykeham, Lincoln LN6 9SP
https://www.pubpeople.com/foxandhounds
The pub is biker friendly and some motorcycle clubs meet there regularly. Large private parking for the bikes and the menu looks nice and reasonably priced.
Hope you can make it, if not maybe next time

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
