Sunny on the inside
My bike has to go to Southampton for shipping to Halifax, Canada right after the Ripley meeting so I'll have to come by car
Never mind, but I'm sure we'll all be sunny on the inside, the HU meetings have that effect.
BTW, I was gonna open a motorbike shop before getting this crazy idea to go around the world, and will be bringing a load of m/c clothing to sell off at silly prices, gloves, leather and cordura jackets, at £15 a time, (that's less than I paid for these 'samples'). Also a few trousers at a tenna So grab yourself a bargain. (Hope that's ok Grant)
See you there.

find me
How to find me.
Look for the old geezer with a grey edwardian style cavalry moustache and mutton chops in the bar, drinking the nearest thing to real ale they do. (sometimes the barrels run out , bikers are extra thirsty by nature)
Failing that a silver citroen estate, festooned with jackets in the camp area set aside for cars.
These clothes are made by Eunesco, an Asian company who used to sub con for Buffalo, Frank Thomas and others, but these companies wanted more and more for less and less, so they are trying to go it alone. I don't have many styles in stock but you can see the type of thing on their website.
Think I've got some INTEGRA, HAWAI & RETRO in leather; MISTRAL, IMOLA, COUGER, but not sure, some ladies styles as well.
EUNESCO; Motorcycle Leathers,Biker Jackets,Leather trousers,Cordura Apparel, Sports Gloves
Thought I'd donate some of the gloves to the raffle, by way of a thank you for letting me do this.
Anybody got some cheap knee braces they want to sell, my knees are not what they used to be , then again, nor is the rest of me:confused1:

Just severed the main ligaments in my knee, so racing this weekend is out of the question.
That means i can get to ripley if
A) i can safely ride the c90 (no probs)
B) Put up a tent on on 1 leg (umm, think so)
c) get a ticket. DOH
i'mn using a sports knee support from my karate kit, purchased from a large chain sports shop. They work well. Don't get one of the cheap tube things, best off getting neoprene, with velcro fastening and a hole for the kneecap. they work a treat.

No problems Joe,
a) you say you can get there, so ok
b) just ask, 101 blokes will do it for you, 'cause that's what we're like, .......guys look out for Joe and don't wait for him to ask.
c) you can register and pay when you get there, not the normal thing, but I'm sure Susan & Grant will make an exception, plays hell with their paperwork but that's what paperwork is for
Perhaps dropping Grant an email would help.
Cheers about the knee supports btw

I thought the doors were shut now. 525 paid and booked in which is more than they wanted.
Could be wrong though.

Hush my mouth
uh ooh
Should have read this first I guess
Important! We are getting VERY close to FULL - register AND PAY to be sure of gettting in! Registration may close before the day.
And so it does...
We are CLOSING registration for the time being at 520 registered!
Registration MAY open again about a week before the meeting - in the meantime if you have registered and NOT paid, be sure to make your payment now to guarantee entry!
FIRST priority will be given to those who have registered AND PAID in advance - if we have less than 500 paid a week before the meeting, we will open registration again for a last chance to get in.
We really don't want to turn anyone away, but more importantly we want to be sure of having a great meeting - and overcrowded facilities will be no fun for anyone. 500 is really pushing the facilities capabilities, so please be patient and bear with us - and them - as we all try very hard to bring the best possible meeting to as many as possible.
So possibly c) is a problem Joe. It might be worth ringing Lumbs Farm on Friday/Saturday to see if the weather has put many off and you can grab a cancellation.
Guess I better bring some tinnies, as the bar is gonna be impossible

Emailed Grant, but no reply yet.
Fustrating as hell, am hoping to get operation where they will graft a section of hamstring into the place where the ligament was, so have a couple of months to get the sidecar outfit fit for use. i reckon a bit of tube and a broomhandle attached to the gear change mech will see me back on the road quickly.
Am really hoping to get down to the meet, I would have applied, but am supposed to be racing in kent this weekend.
If anyone not able to make it, I could buy there ticket off them? That gives me an idea. see my next post.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
