Scottish Campfire Mini Meet
Hiya!
It's time for another Scottish Campfire Mini Meet!
This will be an informal meet with just a few tents, a campfire (with tarp for bad weather protection!), and probably a ride out on the Saturday. We have yet to fine tuned the details but will work this out as we go along.
When...
Friday 19th October - Sunday 21st October
Location...
To be decided once we have an idea of numbers but we are looking at a few different campsites towards the south of Scotland which allow campfires!
We may need to buy some dry kindling & firewood (a £ or so each!?!), to get the fire started on both nights!
Look forward to seeing some old faces and meeting new friends,
Beej n Chris

Liz - you can come and sort out our kindling anyday... that looks soooo tidy!
Hope you manage to get the Saturday off too!
Ali - would be great to meet you, hope that you can make it!
I've also heard from Richard, Jake, DL & Alex so looks like it will be a mix of older faces and new which is great!
Further details on the venue soon... just save the date for this now!

Hi Ali,
Hope you had a great trip in europe... where did your bike take you?
And great news about the wood! Yay!
Can you let me have a rough idea of numbers from your area to help with sorting the location!

Scottish Mini Meet
Looking forward to this, based in Gretna. Been to Berlin, Amsterdam and all over Ireland this year.
Morocco and Italy are two trips planned for next year!
Let's hope we can find a good campsite for this meet, it's getting chilly so a down bag will be a good idea too!

... it sure is... I had to scrape the car yesterday! brrrr... Big sleeping bag and thermals are a must! The campfire will keep us warm though!
Richard - looking forward to hearing of your travels, both past and future! Ireland is a possible for us next year so would be good to get some tips!
Matt - the choice of location has been narrowed down due to various factors... e.g. one campsites doesn't allow you to bring your own ! Will let you know the location asap! Hope you can make it!

Scottish Campfire Mini Meet - LOCATION
Hi All,
After much searching and looking into various campsites we have now decided on a venue for the Scottish Campefire Mini Meet. It's not been an easy search as various campsites have strange rules e.g. not allowing you to bring your own !
So... here are the details...
Pillars of Hercules Camping (& Organic Farm).
Falkland, Cupar, KY15 7AD.
Phone : 01337 857 749.
E-Mail : bruce@pillars.co.uk
Website : Camping at the Pillars
£8 per person per night.
Vegi Cafe : 10am-5pm.
Dont miss out on lovely organic food from our Cafe!
Farm shop :9-6pm Pillars of Hercules - Shop Information Page
Please book your camping pitch directly with the campsite but do let us know that your coming along! Quote HUBB MEET when you make your booking for the Bankings Field!!
Looking forward to meeting faces old and new and to finding another good campsite!
Beej & Chris

Not 100% sure if I can make it yet, but would it be classed as cheating if I were to drive up?
The little DR (125) doesn't sound the most appealing for the ride up.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
