UK spring HU Meeting 2011; any Danes/Swedes going?
Wife and I just signed up for the...................
Horizons Unlimited Travellers Meetings
Eleventh Annual UK Travellers Meeting
Thursday June 23 - Sunday June 26, 2011
And we would like to join up for travelling together if other people from Denmark, like we are, or from Sweden or Northern Germany are going to this event on their bikes.
Unfortunately, our German language skills are not that great. English or Scandinavian preferred.
We tend to have an eye out for the Hoek van Holland - Harwich ferry of Stena Line, but we are open for other suggestions with travel distance, ferry price, ferry duration and ferry schedule in consideration.
We live on the southern coast of Zealand in Denmark but can arrange to meet up somewhere else on Zealand, Fune, Southern Jutland or northern Germany.
Departure planned for Wednesday the 22nd and return on Sunday the 26th.
Please chime in if you would like to hear more or already feel tempted to join in for travelling together.

I live near Harwich, a small village just out side so if any one wants to go up as a convoy let me know, I finish work at 0200 Thursday Morning, ( it would of course depend on the time you dock Harwich.
Or you could all meet at mine for a coffee or Tea before the off, (yes I am that close to the ferry!)

My wife stays home this time due to work.
But instead we will be two friends on each our bikes.
We will be taking the Esbjerg-Harwich ferry the 21st of June.
I will chime in soon about options for convoy or just riding together for the fun of it and also let you know when we're mooring up in Harwich.
It will, however, leave us one day for self amusement before the actual meeting in Ripley opens up.
:-)
Any suggestions about what to see, what to do, where to go in that one day?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
