KLE 500 second hand parts
Hello my name is Marty. A year ago a couple of friends & I decided to plan a trip around the south island of New Zealand. About two months ago we set off, unfortunatly a week & half into it I had a head on collision with a van.
Stupidly I didnt get insurance for the bike & im regreting it. So hopefully ill be able to put her back together with second hand or new parts.
So is there any one out there that knows of good second hand parts suppliers close to NZ?
Any help will be very apreaciated.
My 2007 KLE500
Pretty much will need front forks, all front fairings, headlight assembly & speedo cluster.

Where are you?
In Chch try Jap Mo'cyle dismantlers,

In Hamilton try

I just bought a writ-off KLE400 from Chch, has light damage... and will be taking off the fairing but not for a month or 2.

KLE second hand parts
Yep, 400 is same as 500, except for smaller pistons.
I see other forums, guys swapping standard forks for KLX or KLR, gotta be way more common than KLE, in NZ. U might need to swap triple clamps too.
Insurance wouldn't'a helped repairs, I bought a 'write off', it needs one front brake lever and 2 indicator lens, the foot brake straightening and repainting. The plastic is scratched and cracked here'n there but that doesn't affect ridability :-) Of course the money woulda helped.
Also wreckers in Rotorua, Te Awamutu. Or get yr forks straightened and after market lights to cable-tie on...
happy Xmas
Dave
