KLE500 Oil level coming on and turning off
Hi,
Started the bike this morning, oil light turned off as usual.
After 500 meters the oil light turned off so i stopped on the side of the road to check what was going on. The light turned back off by itself so i continued riding. During the ride to work the light kept turning on and off every minute or so. When i got to the highway at about 60mph the light stayed off all the time. When i got off the highway and slowed down again the light turned back on...
Anybody know whats going on?
Any help would be appreciated!
Jim

Hi Jim
What's you oil level like?
Not sure what type of sensor is in the KLE but I had same problem on my Yamaha Fazer a couple of years ago where the oil light kept coming on but only when going up steep mountain roads. Rang a mechanic mate of mine who advised the oil sensor on my bike was a level indicator in the engine hence came on when bike was at incline. Since then I've always filled oil level at max level on the indicator glass and the problem has not happened since.
Hope you get it sorted
Cheers
Bones

I checked my oil level and it looks good, i'm thinking it might be a electrical issue. the bike was out in the rain last night, under a cover but i reckon there might be some moisture that has accumulated in the connection between the connector and the digital speedo i mounted...
