Rewiring a Defender 200 tdi + auxiliaries
Electricity is a tricky beast, easy to get working but not always so easy to get it working safely in all conditions!
I'm now slowly preparing my Defender 200tdi for some more future adventures. I'm very happy with my general Landy mechanics, but experience here and in Africa has taught me it is worth finding a specialist auto electrician for vehicle and auxiliary wiring, especially as I run a 'complicated' setup of extra batteries, National Luna system, solar panel etc.
Also after my last 3 year trip I replaced the bulkhead and was horrified at the state of wiring behind the dash, 112,000km of vibrations had taken their toll.
So my plan is to completely rewire my Landy and all auxiliary wiring more or less from scratch.
Can anybody recommend somebody who knows Defender wiring off the back of their hand but also actually understands all auxiliary issues around volts/amps, fuse/wire strength, solar and regulators etc etc?
(In the UK and ideally smaller independent rather than expensive & needlessly fancy!
Cheers, Darrin
(currently replacing a burnt out fuse box!)
