Getting to Qatar/Bahrein from Iran ?
Hi again,
Forgot to ask in my other thread : is there a sea link between Iran and Qatar or Bahrein across the Persian Gulf ?
Or is the Bandar/Dubai ferry crossing the only one to get to the Arabian Peninsula ?
Cheers,
Levelo.

Dear Levelo
yes the ferry lines are going from Bander Abbas to UAE, Qatar or Bahrain
but if you reach to Qatar or Bahrain you will not be able to cross KSA to any other distnation becouse the visa restrections.

Salam alikoum wa Choukran jazilan Saleh !
I didn't know there was a ferry going sailing straight from Bandar to Bahrein. I had only heard about the one going to Dubai.
Do you think I would be able to get the Bahreini visa on arrival ?
Is there some kind of ferry between Bahrein and Qatar ?
As you were saying the KSA visa looks difficult but not impossible ( transit ), there is a thread on the Hubb from someone who got it in Qatar. Provided I get it, the only issue for me would to be able to ride my bicycle to the UAE border...
Cheers,
Yves.

Dear Yves (Levelo),
Ferries do indeed run to a number of other Gulf countries than the UAE. Apart from Kuwait and Eastern Saudi Arabia, there are connections to Bahrain and probably also Qatar, though the latter is not always mentioned.
Have a look at this principal website:
Iran Traveling Center - Valfajr 8
On this website, there are also several phone numbers, but it only mentions Bahrain in the text, not in the schedule:
Iran Tour Center
So you will probably have to do a few mails or even better phone calls to find out.
Greetings,
Achim
